Raptor To Protect LISD Students 
Illustrated in its Strategic Design, Lewisville ISD (LISD) considers the safety and security of students one of its top priorities. Though security measures in front offices at LISD campuses have been in place for years, the LISD Board of Trustees (Board) recently approved the purchase of a highly-effective, software-based, sign-in system that taps into the national sex offender database to screen campus visitors before allowing access. The software, called Raptor, has proven its value in the last 10 years.

Parent Appreciation Week Fraud Alert To ensure student safety Lewisville ISD (LISD) is informing the community about fraudulent “Parent Appreciation Week” phone calls. LISD has been informed that there is an individual placing illegitimate calls to some students in the area, which reference the district. The individual explains that the reason for the call is LISD “Parent Appreciation Week.” Please note that this individual is not affiliated with LISD and anyone who receives such a call should report it to the local police department. Anyone associated with the district should not ask a parent for a student’s direct phone number. As always, student safety is a high priority. We urge you to take this opportunity to talk with your child about safety measures, which include how to appropriately respond to unsolicited phone calls. |
